In-Person Public Talk, May 18, 7:00 p.m.
Douglass Student Center, 100 George Street, New Brunswick
Award-winning journalist Nadine Epstein will discuss her collaboration with the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on a collection of short biographies of inspiring Jewish women. Selected by Ginsburg, these diverse female role models span from biblical times to the present and include two Nobel Prize winners, scientists, performers, social activists, congresswomen, writers, and the first Jewish woman to travel to space. While exploring the lives of these remarkable trailblazers, the book also offers compelling insight into the late justice herself and the changing times she lived through. Free and open to the public, this talk is presented by the Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life at Rutgers University. Light refreshments will be served following the talk. Advance registration required on the Bildner Center website: BildnerCenter.Rutgers.edu.
