The deadline to apply for the 2024–2025 academic year has passed.
The Scholars of Color Fellowship invites applications for its 2024–2025 academic year cohort. The mentorship program pairs scholars who have made or will make contributions to Jewish Studies scholarship with experienced mentors, while also building a community among the cohort. The program is focused on finding racialized scholars who are underrepresented in the academy and/or directly impacted by racialization due to their lived experience as a person of color. Mentorship, networking, and professional development sessions will take place on Zoom. Attendance at the 56th Annual Conference, taking place online in December 2024, is expected. The AJS will cover AJS membership fees and conference registration costs for the fellows.
Application Deadline: March 25, 2024
You do NOT need to be part of a Jewish Studies program or department to apply, nor do you need to be an AJS member.
Please submit a CV and answer the application questions.
