Have you recently accepted the role of department chair or program director within the past two years? Will you be taking on this role within the next year? If so, the Association for Jewish Studies invites you to participate in an interactive workshop geared towards providing new chairs and directors with the information they need to know to be able to succeed in this position. The workshop will take place on Zoom on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 2:30 – 3:30 Eastern Time.
Jeffrey Shoulson, Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences and Professor of English at Brandeis University, and Beth S. Wenger, Associate Dean for Graduate Studies of the School of Arts and Sciences and the Moritz and Josephine Berg Professor of History at the University of Pennsylvania, will lead this workshop.
Participation is limited, so please secure your spot in this webinar by filling out this form as soon as possible, but no later than Wednesday, August 28. A Zoom link will be sent to participants prior to the webinar. All participants must be current members of the AJS for the 2024 calendar year. Participants must also have been in the department chair or program director role for no more than two years and/or will be taking on the position within the year.
