How to Submit Your Proposal

Questions? Email Mary Arnstein

 1)  2024 AJS membership
Log in to your MyAJS account and join or renew your individual membership for 2024. (Note: the MyAJS membership data syncs with the submission site approximately hourly. You will not be able to log in to the submission site immediately after completing your membership payment. Contact Melinda Man if you continue to be unable to log in.)

 2)  May 3 deadline
All proposals must be submitted online via the submission site by May 3 at 5:00 PM EDT. Proposals submitted by any other means (including emailed directly to Division Chairs or AJS staff or submitting to the session organizer form/table) will not be accepted.

 3)  Proposal submission website
Access the proposal submission site via your MyAJS account or by clicking here. Login to the submission site with the same username and password as you use for your MyAJS account.

 4)  Do not use browser buttons
Do not use the "back" arrow on your web browser to return to a previous page on the submission site. Move back and forth through the submission site via the prompts on the submission pages.

 5)  Save each page
Click "Accept and Continue" in the bottom right-hand corner of each submission page in order to save each page. If you wish to finish submitting at a later time, click "Accept and Continue" on each page until you get to the final page, confirming that your proposal has been received. You may edit your proposal until May 3, 2024.

The system times out after 60 minutes of inactivity. If you are unable to finish the submission process within that time, click "Accept and Continue" on each page until you get to the final page, confirming that your proposal has been received. You may go back and edit your proposal until May 3, 2024.

 6)  No placeholders
Do NOT enter anyone’s name as a “placeholder.” If you do not have a sufficient number of presenters, a moderator, or a chair, do not insert the name of the Division Chair, an AJS staff member, or a colleague, as doing so will prevent them from creating their own submission. You can submit incomplete proposals, but these proposals are far more likely to be rejected. Please make sure your submissions are complete, including chairs, moderators, and the correct number of presenters, before the May 3, 2024 deadline.

 7)  Proposal checklists
Please consult the relevant Proposal Submission Checklist(s) to ensure your proposal is ready for submission.
